Which one is better?
{shadow of doubt}
{remand}
Playing RWU control in modern and it seems like the two pretty much replace one another in different lists...both have a good effect, plus the draw....this is my first venture into modern so idk what the differences would be during gameplay

Completely different. Remand is a counter spell that delays the opponent by a turn usually and draws you a card. Shadow of doubt is used to hate out fetch or search library effects. Denial of resources.
Shadow's use seems a lot more niche than {remand}'s use. Stymieing a turn 2 (or really any turn spell) seems universally rad to me.
Id say use both! Theyre both super useful! Haha bad advice but its true theyre both pretty nifty
They both have great art 😨
Is remand truly more bang as the two of in that spot, or is playing a little "hatred" with shadow of doubt, equally as good?
Well remand is ALWAYS good, shadow is id say GENERALLY good(you can replace good with useful or relevant)
Late game remand is relevant, shadow may not be
Idunno, maybe it depends on the deck your playing, so meta based, but imho i think remand is more expensive for a reason
I like remand more. As stated above, it is good late, mid, or early game. Drawing a SoD anything later than like T5 just seems bad.
The way I've heard it:
{Shadow of Doubt} can easily be a cantrip Stone Rain, but you have to be playing against someone running Fetches and have it when they're going to use them. And even then, you'll usually only nab one of them at a time.
{Remand} is an amazing Tempo tool, that basically reads "The active player puts a land on to the battlefield (probably tapped), take an extra turn after this one". Remand is Time Walk that lets you draw a card. Thing's insane.
In the blind match-up, mainboard, I'd always run Remand over Shadow.
