Title: First Time Getting Into Standard
Post by: Forbidyourways on April 15, 2014, 01:36:10 AM
Hey guys I've been playing magic over 3 years now and I've always played casual but I think I wanna try something new I am working on a legacy deck but a few of my friends play standard and I wanna give it a shot right now I'm on the fence for either Blue/Red or Red/White with JIN coming out soon both of these colors look fun for standard so any suggestions would be great

hard to say without any info except two color combos look fun. what kind of cards do you like to play? do you know what decks are heavily played in standard in your area currently? do you want to be competitive or just fun? budget?

Well I've always been a midrange aggro player and budget isn't a issue for me unfortunately I have to drive 40 mins to a town that has standard tournaments so I'm not sure what people use blacks my favorite color but other colors look more fun for standard I'm wanting to play competitive but also for fun

I am building a black aggro deck right now, but the best style right now is azorius control. then black aggro, then the others.
Just depends what others in the lgs are playing

azorious/ esper control will get much worse once {sphinx's revelation} {ætherling} and {supreme verdict}. black white midrange is pretty good.
