Title: [Extended] Mana ramp
Post by: Springeralready on November 01, 2011, 06:39:21 AM
What are good ways to ramp in extended uw control without splashing green?

Play a {Silver Myr}, copy it with {Cackling Counterpart}, then copy that twice with {Echo Mage}  There isn't a whole lot of ramping without green, so I'd say myrs are probably your best bet :/

{Everflowing Chalice} and proliferating with something like {Thrummingbird} early on is another option, only it's colorless.

Well, there's artifact mana in Alara Block: {Obelisk of Bant}, {Fieldmist Borderpost} come to mind, although if you are paying three mana, you may as well use {Manalith} and present like you have other colors ;) {Sphere of the Suns}, works too.

In Zendikar, if you are creature based, {Explorer's Scope} can put lands directly into play from your library.  {Khalni Gem} works, and can reduce your total land count.

{Kor Cartographer}, and {Knight of the White Orchid}, {Walking Atlas} all put Plains directly into play.

{Sword of Feast or Famine} is sort of like ramp... plus it's a HUGE card!

Otherwise, there are ways to fetch land from your library and put it into your hand, but that's not really ramp.

Most things have been covered, but you could also chuck a play set of {Wayfarer's Bauble}s in.

Whoa Spikepit, I'm surprised that spelling actually leads to the right card. ;-P
