Post by: PJO1983 on April 11, 2014, 12:26:17 PM
Hi, I am New to MTG and just created mydeck, I have a white and red deck but I really don,t know if this is a good combi.
Can somebody please take a look at my deck and perhaps advice me about what cards I can add to my deck?
I am also New to this forum and app....so I am not sure if somebody can see my deck :)

Thanks for your comments & welcomening!
I think now you can see my deck, I shared it as you said but is a new topic now.

My friend and I bought a M14 & Thoras set with lands, boosters packs and basic cards. My friend plays with Black and green and has a lot more beter games. I have a lot of creatures but not really strong cards, tokens or planeswalkers (although I am not sure whats planeswalkers are :) )

I hope a more advanced player can advice me what cards will enhance my deck and make it stronger.

Thank you very much!

A lot of this game is money based, so let's start there

How much are you willing to spend?

Hi Dylan, well I cannot spend thousands of dollars in one time but I can spend some money for beter cards.

Where do you buy your cards, online or in a shop?

Online gives much better prices! And thousands of dollars isn't needed if your buying Theros stuff, thousands is mainly the oldest format, which is called Vintage :)

What all do you know about the game?

Pfff....for one Card I would not spend so much! You mean like the Black Lotus?

I think I know the base, what steps a turn have the basic information about creatures, instants, sorcerys, enchantment etc.
So i can play a bit but am not sure to make my deck better. I read online about planeswalkers and creature tokens but Don't Understand really what these
are. I try to read information about rules and play offcourse.

I have a red & white deck and I believe 24 most red creatures and a few flying white creaturs and some spells, these are not so strong.
I Don't know what kind of cards like spells of creatures Will make my deck stronger. And how do you know what color combo is good, Black I think i a nice color to play too.

Buy an event deck. It comes with rules and a breakdown of the deck and how to mod it. These are normally msrp $25. It's a decent deck and has some value cards in it. You can find some on eBay for less. The difference between buying on line or at an lgs (local game shop) is online is cheaper, but the lgs will help you (help make decks or other advice).  Hope this helps.

Your welcome. This one was a recent fun one and can be found on eBay for under $20

I also like playing the theros one still under $20 on eBay

Boros is fun but more expensive
