Possibly could be done turn 1, most likely a turn 2 play
Because its easier said than done :(
Ah a fellow drafter enthusiast! Yea i prefer drafting but i also want to build just one homebrew deck in an eternal format that i can call my baby :/ i just cant seem to stop suckig at it
I have 16 standard decks and 12 modern. The modern decks are my babies
Id have a modern deck if they made phyrexian dreanlught legal! All my fun ideas are only legacy legal which is too fast for them :(

If I could wrench my self off of the crack that is some of my older cards I'd have modern decks :)
Stupid {false prophet} ...
Haha I loved that card back in the day!!!
I believe I have you all beat with the completely 100% eternal format with 0 bans and or restrictions.
That's right.
I play myself some casual.
I want to go to events though, but i refuse to even come close to netdecking. So its just trial and error till i make myself a decent, new homebrew. the struggle :(
there needs to be more people like us that play i never netdeck either
I just think its a cop out for the most part unless that deck was your making
But im not here to judge
I don't actually net deck. I think of a concept, I collect a whole bunch of cards that seem to fit together then I build a deck. Then I see what other people have done with similar concepts and similar decks (if there are any) and I take a couple of ideas from a couple of different sources, fine tune them to match my play style then add them into my deck, then start play testing again and fine tune again from there. So even though I borrow ideas from other people its not really net decking. My deck list is always unique and its heaps of fun to build. I would recommend this method to anyone who doesn't like net decking.
Thats how i do it on occassion, nothin wrong with it
There's a guy at FNM who not only net decks, but borrows cards from everyone else to build his decks. He usually owns very little of the cards. I personally have no problem with him doing that, but a few people get annoyed by it. At a recent event him and I were the only undefeated players going into the final round, and I had most of the group cheering for me because they didn't want his 'borrowed tier 1 deck' to win. Alas, I didn't quite pull off the upset, but it was still heaps of fun. Whenever I start to get annoyed by people net decking and borrowing cards etc. I just take a deep breath and think 'at least they are not proxying'. Then I don't have a problem with it anymore :)
I dont have a problem with borrowing cards one bit although i think thats pretty bum of them, the netdeckin however? Yea i dont like that. Id rather they proxy a deck of their invention than netdeck any day
Yeah I understand. But I'm of the opinion that if you can't afford/can't be stuffed/for whatever reason if you don't have the cards or can't get them then you don't get to play magic. If you can get them, however, and it doesn't really matter how you got them, then you can use them.
If I couldn't afford to go out to dinner, it's not ok to print off some cash on my computer and use it. It is, however, acceptable to borrow the money off a friend :)
Haha it is indeed acceptable to print cash, as long as you dont get caught!
Well I suppose it is also ok to proxy cards for a mtg tournament, as long as you don't get caught!
I personally do not mind net decking. Yeah they are a pain, but you learn to deal with them. When you go to a gp what are you gonna see? A bunch of those decks. I would rather go to a gp and at least be prepared for them than seeing that deck for the first time. Also on another point, as a rookie I think a net deck is the best way to go. You at least get a deck you aren't fighting with to work, and can worry about learning the game and starting with a good deck. Then from there start creating home brews to beat the net decks. But at least you know what level you need to be competitive on when you do home brew.
I don't net deck. Well I do but only for 1 deck at a time. Currently my Orzhov midrange. But everything else I have is home brew and it wins. Well my legacy is net decked too I guess. Ok I have to net decked decks
Heathen!
