Title: Should I?
Post by: Taysby on April 06, 2014, 09:44:24 PM
See my selling post.  I snagged a lot of stuff for Lego stone blade and was wondering if I should try and make that deck, or sell it and make modern affinity/storm.  There's only a Lego tournament once every three months at my lgs, but I do have Manaless dredge, so I can play with friends.  Currently I only have one modern deck, tron, so I  can't really play with friends in modern.  But there's a modern tournament once a month. What do you guys think?

(My friends can't afford magic so they have "casual" and "for fun" decks.  Winning isn't fun?  But anyways, I want to play competitive with them)

I'd build the modern decks. Wizards seems to support modern more as well, so modern just seems like it'll live on more than legacy will. Ironic eh?

They support it by reprinting and causing prices to drop.  I like the super competitive feel of Lego, but there's more tournaments for modern, which is where the problem is.  Grr!!!  I can't decide!
What I was going for is that wizards is more likely to let legacy just fade into a format only played at fnm while they make modern tournaments more and more frequent
