Just as it says. Please share your stories of winning with one life! Best and most satisfying win IMO.
I've got one: i was playing with a casual artifact deck with my friend (who has since quit) he was playing boros. He had a bunch of creatures and that one angel from gatecrash that has battalion for a lightning helix. I was at 1 life and about to lose. I used a combination of {tezzeret the seeker}, {voltaic key}, and {Steel overseer} to create enough damage to kill him. 8)
It was in old standard, my friend was playing Naya Aggro, I was playing {U}{G}{B}{W} Reanimator-fog jank.
I was at 7, he was at 20.
I played an {Angel of Serenity} and beat off 3 threats. Next turn he played 2 {Ash Zealot}s and swung for lethal (he had other creatures out). I {Fog}ed, then swung for 5. Next turn he played another threat and swung. I fogged once again, then swung for 5 more. Same thing again, and I played another Fog! He was upset, but then, after I brought him to 5, he swung a final time. I flashed in {Snapcaster Mage} and flash backed my Fog, taking 6 damage from Zealots, bringing me to 1, then I swung back for lethal.
So intense.
My story is from the opposite angle. Both me and my creatures had a board full of creatures and we were both down to one card in hand.We were both sitting at about 14 life. My card was {martial glory}. I don't know what card my opponent had. I calculated that the only way I could win was if I attacked with everythinf and he blocked intelligently, then I could martial glory one of the dudes he doesn't block which would be enough to win. I double and triple checked that my calculations were correct before decided to go for it anyway, and hope he has a useless card. So i tapped all my creatures to attack, he blocked intelligently and we move to assign combat damage step. It was then that I realised that I forgot to cast my {martial glory}. So he was left on 1 life, I lost all my impactful creatures and proceeded to lose about 3 or 4 turns later as all I drew from that point on was land.
Happened recently when I was playing a fnm booster where I was building my battle ship on {Centaur Battlemaster}. I was at 2 and he was at 17 with 2 {Scholar of Athreos} out and he had the lands but was tapped to 2 mana. My only out was my one of {Aqueous Form} to deal leathal that turn and I didn't get it at my draw step. I dropped a scry land and it wasn't it shipped to bottom. I told him my only way to win and played {Fate Foretold} into centaur and turn over the aqueous. The place goes crazy because it was one of the last games of te night and I won 5 packs that night.
I was playing against Bant walkers. I was looking at a kiora and elspeth. Game hand went on for a while. We both were looking at about 14 land. Both walkers about to ultimate. I am playing esper control and saw 3 verdicts in grave. Dug for the 4th hard and didn't get it. He swing in for 6 and dropped me to 3 life. He had 3 cards in hand. In my hand I'm looking at {thoughtseize}, {debt to the deathless}, land land. My turn I drop an island and played thoughtseize. In response he {azorious charm}. He drew his card. He revealed land, azorious charm and last breath. He sits at 20 life. I have enough for lethal on board and I take last breath. He has 5 mana open and all 4 {dissolve} still in deck. I cast debt to deathless for lethal. 14 mana tapped and 10 paying for x. He charms in response and flips up the top card to reveal a jace and extends the hand. One of the best games I've played. It was against a good friend and we had some fun
About a month ago I was playing my Orzhov enchantment control deck. I was shoved down to 1 life. The guy had 9 creatures on the field and was at 16 life from his shock lands and I had two {Sanguine bond} on the field. He casually swung in with all and said "I win". I dropped a {Riot control} and dealt 18 damage to him through the double sanguine bond
I don't know if this counts, as I didn't win, but when I was first getting into magic, I split my deck with a friend so we could play. We both had good board presence, and we were both at one life. He had a {Tormented Soul} on the field, and I a {Blood Reckoning} Swings for one with the soul, we both lose at the same time. The best part is that for the rest of the day, we kept doing things at the same time, saying the same thing at the same time, just generally we were synced for the rest of the day. It was like we had a {Saugine Bond}

Actually you would have won, since {Blood Reckoning} states that when the creature attacks the player loses a life, so he would lose before the {Tormented Soul} could kill you, since the attack and damage steps are different.

Actually you won because as soon as he declared attackers he dies
Cool, cool. It dosen't matter anyway, that was years ago, but I'm still consediring telling him just to see his reaction.
Side note here: Does this deck happen to be a m13 intro deck?
Well, it was. I took it apart to trade away the whites and gave the blacks to the same friend I was playing against.
That's pretty cool, since that deck was the first one I ever had!
Awesome, mine too!! Internet high five!! 🙏
