A creature with protection from (type) can block a (type) that has flying, correct?

as long as the blocking creature has the ability to block flying in the first place, i.e reach or flying.

The creature with protection from (type) won't take any damage from the creature with (type), but that doesn't change any other game rules like flying/not flying, fear, unblockable, etc.
