Post by: TreeTopSky on April 03, 2014, 01:41:50 AM
Does a 1/1 with deathtouch kill a 6/5 with hexproof?

Yes it does.  Hexproof will only prevent targetting of an opponents ability.  Deathtouch is a property of damage and can go through hexproof

Yes, deathtouch does not target the creature, it simply kills it

Yes, deathtouch does not target the creature, it simply kills it

to be more specific, deathtouch makes any amount of damage lethal, so a 0/4 defender that gains deathtouch won't do lethal damage.

That's actually incorrect. A creature must be able to assign damage. See rule:

"119.8
If as source would deal 0 damage, it does not deal damage at all. That means abilities that trigger on damage being dealt won't trigger...."

EDIT: Sorry, i mis-read your post. This is nil.
