Ok what do we want to see (deck wise) to be pinned to the top of the page. We can't pin everything and if the post gets too big it won't mean much to anyone. Do we want what seem to be the most decks that are tier 1 ( please help me out on how to decide on this ) the most common decks you will see at tournaments ( any ideas where to look this up) or what top 8ed at the last Grand Prix or last few. Or is this just a waste of time since no one really looks at it. Any constructive feedback would be great.
Taysby did a great job on his deck lists. And thank you for doing it because it got the ball rolling. My idea was to just post the last winners so people could see them. This forum is constantly evolving to help players out. So I want it to make it the best for all.
Thanks for any input.
I really want Taysbys post because it gave me a concise list of viable decks. Not necessarily top 8 ultra competitive ones, but a great baseline of decks i can look at, play, test, and adapt to my own taste. I strongly advocate pinning his decklists, and then locking the topic with only mods and Taysby able to post and modify it.
That being said, i also would greatly appreciate having either 'tier 1' decks based on the definition, or the recent Top 8s as you have done. This serves to 1) let netdeckers netdeck, theres a market for that. 2) show what will likely be faced often.
There is no argument that one is better than the other, its all a matter of opinion. Personally id use Taysbys more, that doesnt mean id prefer to see his pinned over yours. You can easily pin both, it will not cause the app to implode. I beg you to just do that and satisfy both halves of the argument. It will not overcrowd the stickies either, 4 is not too much and 3 is nt the perfect amount.
I like rass's list. I miss Grand Prix coverage and like to see the lists. Looking at a list doesn't help a player learn. The lists given by taysby(I'm pretty sure) don't have a name to go with it, so you can't search for it and watch it play against other top tier decks.
But lists differ from person to person, and Grand Prix is as good as a list usually gets.
THEY ARENT THE SAME HOW CAN YOU COMPARE THE 2? I want taysbys so that i can see what there is out in modern, no decklist helps anybody its just a list of cards... I wants Rass' cuz i want to see whats winning. Why cant everybody win here? Its called compromise, theres no need for one to be better than the other

He stated putting both up would clutter the board.

I just didn't want it to get overboard with stickies.
Which is a terrible argument. No it wouldnt clutter anything.. 4 stickied threads versus 3 will not make a noticeable difference. Using that argument kind of just is saying 'nah someone has to win.'

By all means I don't think 4 is too many. But I do not know what will happen in the future on what else will be up there. This is why I am asking for input. If people want both or none those are options. I just want what is best for the community as a whole.
I'm not trying to take any credit for this. I just copy pasted and added some brackets.
Well the future is the future, worrying about it now only complicates things. What if nothing is ever stickied again, making this entire conflict pointless? Or what if 10 things get stickied in a week, overcluttering the stickies regardles of what you or anyone else does? Its really not good to make decisions based on what you speculate could happen unless you have some reason to believe theres more to sticky in the near future. You can always have this vote when/if things DO get cluttered, which may or may not ever happen.
I vote we pin all of my devils
Jkjk
Pin both of them.
Just do it rationally? If Rass is going to keep it updated and link all the cards, sticky that one. If Taysby is going to, then sticky that one instead. This seems like a strange argument...
And if they both plan on doing so, which they do.. Well sticky BOTH until such time as that needs to change! Good answer ;p haha
Why clutter up the stickies? Just post a list. Seems easy.
The argument is whether to only list the most recent top 8s(rass) vs a more complete list of 'viable' modern decks(Taysby)
I vote both so youcan use em both for their separate uses
