I know I'm 9 lands short but don't have the remaining 4 shocks and couldn't remember what basics the other 5 were.

The deck has been fun so far.

FNM:
White Weenie 1-0
Black Devotion 1-0
G/W Aggro 1-0

I had a match versus black where I not only got all for walkers into play but managed to ultimate everyone but jace!

I'm just interested in possible fixes and sideboard options. This falls more under control than the typical midrange BUGs that I've seen most others play. I does amazing against creature decks, but I'm guessing that it will struggle against Boros Burn strategies.

Just updating for FNM results for the deck.

2-0 vs white devotion
2-0 vs dimir mill
2-0 vs G/W hex proof/enchantments
2-1 GBR midrange

Was a fun night here. Any issue here was dealing with an upset player in round 1. He scooped when I managed to get 4 walkers in play whilst saying some junk about walkers being unfair for anyone to have to play against. Sad. Oh well.

I did struggle a little against the hex proof stuff, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Sealed that deal with a kraken army. Lol.

Well I'm still struggling to come up with sideboard, but maybe with the new set coming out soon I will have more options to consider for the main deck soon. I have issues with boros burn strategies, but luckily I haven't had to fac any of them yet. Discovered this weakness in play testing myself. Considering a couple of elixir's of immortality to recycle spells and walkers whilst gaining some life for that matchup.

I also am concerned with those hexproof builds. I have plenty of main boarded tech to circumvent such cards but in a deck where that is nearly every card I feel like I would run out of resources fast for dealing with them. I saw a 1 cc artifact that removes hexproof from your opponents stuff. Considering this in the sideboard.

Against the esper/bw/mono blue control stuff I was considering a sideboard with psychic strike for another available hard counter spell. Ratchet bomb might also be nice against black or blue devotion strategies.

I appreciate that the deck is fairly well rounded already, but where it needs the help is the sideboard. I appear to have almost no issues with creature decks like gruul and r/g monsters. Also comsidering thought seize for the side against esper control and burn.

Thanks for the help.

I crushed a pair of mono black devotion strategies at FNM last weekend. All I can say is pack rat is a pain... Lol.

Your son has a solid deck. I'd want to play using that

Seems interesting enough. I'd struggle to go 4 colors. If I did I think I would go white to get access to ajani, sphere and verdict. Lol.

I havnt had mana issues yet with this build and it get seven more help with the upcoming b/g scry land. I am also extremely excited for the new land that makes any color for 1 life. Gonna have to find a way to offset all the life payments in my deck though.

Love Ashoka in here. It does an amazing job of stealing some crazy stuff. It is fun to smash face when it's your opponents brimaz, polunkranos, dragon, etc... I done it too many times to count. I've even used his last ability once on my opponents grave to win a match! Lol. He's a lot of fun in formats where creatures are sooooo common indeck builds. He often gets side boarded against sphinx based decks in lieu of more counter magic spells like dispel.

FNM:

2-0 g/w hex chants (slow start... Took three tries before I stuck a kiora in play... Yay seafood)
2-1 g heroic devotion (scary game 1... Lost that one in about 3 turns... No problems after that although Ashiok milled for the win game 3)
2-0 red Aggro battalion (easy match up for this build.... I was worried about burn spells but he played very few that I saw)

Thoughts... Can't wait for The next set.

What I ran into with Ashiok against a green deck was if there is nothing big to steal Ashiok becomes nothing more than a milling machine. Not bad but more removal/counters might be useful in similar match ups.

FNM:

2-0 g/w Aggro (struggled a bit when outnumbered but recovered nicely with well timed cyclonic rift)
2-0 rug combo (interesting build but never got off the ground when dealing with my removal)
2-1 boros burn (a rough matchup. New that before I started though. Sided in elixir of immortality and some counter magic to find a way out)

No FNM last Friday. (New set draft instead). However I did get a fun match between rounds.

2-0 white weenie Aggro
This kept turning into the same thing over and over Ashiok sucking up white creatures and then playing them back into the opponents face. Could have kiora token things up but chose instead to use her to draw and ramp lands into play worked nicely with underworld connections x2 and courser of kruphix in play.

Considering master of the feast from the new set. I'm also liking the idea of playing against this guy... Free access to planes walkers and removal. Especially if kiora shuts the demon down... Lol.

Been away from this build for a bit... I would like to find some help into updating it for the NEW standard format. Looks like I'm loosing a lot of the removal support and draw power though. All help would be appreciated :)
