Haven't played in a few months, anything new I should know about from the past month or two? Thanks
Not really. The only changes recently are the banning of {Derevi, Empyrial Tactician} in French Commander, the banning of {Deathrite Shaman} in Modern, the unbanning of {Wild Nacatl} and {Bitterblossom} in Modern, and the change of the legendary rule which happened when M14 came out. Other than that, nothing new.

Not really, the meta completly changed and there was also a major rule change, so yeah. Nothing new. ;)
Those are expected changes, the meta shifts every once in a while. I meant nothing major like, "Oh, we are bringing back mana burn." Also, we don't know that he doesn't know about the Legend rule change. That was six months ago, so I am assuming he knows, but I mentioned it just in case.
What changed about the legend rule?
Oh alright, did not know that haha guess it has been quite a while. Not sure I like that, liked killing opponents legends with my own lol
Great for double planeswalker ability in one turn
Yeah that is nice for sure
But devalues all the cloning cards quite the lot :/

I actually like it. If I have the same legendary creature I {Act of Treason} theirs and sacrifice it
Yeah I guess the new rule is probably better than what it used to be

It's awful in edh. The rule change was stupid IMO. Changed a rule that has existed since the game started.....foolish to this day
Legendaries didn't exist when the game started, and the rules around them have changed once or twice before.

Legendaries started in Legends. And the rules for them, if I remember correctly, never changed until m14
Legends rules have changed a few times.
Ah. I stand corrected. I forgot about the initial use, before the rule change to blow them up. Thanks for reminding me.
The two I remember is that if two were on the field they will both go to they graveyard. Then the next one is if one is on the field then no one could cast another.
