Krond was chosen as a thematic General, adding insane numbers to Devotion for Nykthos, as well as getting an added benefit to attacking with auras attached to it. It doesn't hurt that almost any Aura will push him to 7 or higher power, enabling 2-3 shot kills. Almost any creature in the deck is suitable to throw enchantments on and start swinging, while several creatures with Bestow pull double-duty and fill both roles. The deck could probably do with a little more recursion, such as Replenish, but Retether can already enable insane plays and kills out of nowhere. If an entire table needs to be taken down at once, after a bit of set-up, the deck can switch to a full-on Combo mode, allowing you to draw you entire deck, make an infinite amount of Angel and Cleric tokens, grow them to incredible size and give them all haste. In a single turn. The deck is super fun to play, and I'm open to new ideas. The list is as I have it built in real life, so a few more things I have yet to acquire aren't in there yet. |
