Title: Akward moments
Post by: Splicer on March 20, 2014, 05:35:46 PM
So, I feel as though the community is the only place I may be able to go for this...

As most of you know(if you read my intro) I am friends with my crush. We have science and math together, and we'll walk to math together with a different friend. However, he dosen't have the same class as us. So, when he leaves, we turn the corner and keep walking. The problem is, I never know what to say!!
How can I make conversation?

How?

Ask her to sit on your lap and talk about the next thing that "pops up". (Kidding)

Just be yourself and talk to her. Don't try and force a conversation but see if she may want to do something just you two. (No suggestions I don't know your age or much about you).

Read my intro in welcome

My problem, though, is the fact that I can't speak if I have nothing to say.

Keep it simple and relatable at first. Something I've always found to work is talking about your surroundings. What she's wearing, that stupid kid you two know, simple stuff. It may be stupid conversation, but it's better than nothing at all and it will get you somewhere!

You know all girls don't want to talk about what we're wearing. But I will say, be yourself! Thats one thing I really like to see when I talk to someone

Yea I just try to be myself in cases like that (except we have 6 out of 7 classes together, and we sit next to each other in 4 of them).

How good is your imagination? Think up some story of something that recently happened to you (obviously false). If you're good it just spawns a string of various conversations. It's how I got the girl I'm with now ;)

Just DO NOT, EVER, revert the conversation to the fact that the conversation is lacking in conversation. It just ruins the conversation.

But that also creates conversation when you make the conversation about a lack of conversation. I've had entire conversations about a conversation much like the conversation I was having at the moment of conversing

But having a spree of conversations about awkward conversations creates a bad conversationalist.

Sex of crush is not known. The "he" is the friend that both the OP and his/her crush walk with after 1 class, before being left alone afterwards.

It's cool man, no one was judging. My advise, women love to laugh. Try having a new corny knock knock joke everyday. Make it so you to are more comfortable together, that is step 1. Step 2 you'll learn in sex ed.

Dude youre 14? I hate to be cynical but your mostly SOL, youre ratcheting up to the most awkward years of your life

Just say WHATEVER COMES TO YOUR MIND, no matter how silly or awkward it feels

Chances are shell think youre cute and date you for 2 years before you realize you kind of cant stand her little giggles and incessant talkig about jealousy and self esteem issues

But seriously its a good habit around girls youre interested in to say whatever pops into your head(within reason of course, dont creep her out!) or else its a skill youll have to teach yourself years past the 'cool guys' that get chicas

Sources: experiences of a shy child who didnt blossom until 16-17

Cudos to you, and in that respect you do differ from the pack! Thats well and good, but just because youre mature enough for affection like that doesnt mean youre the exception to human nature though, sorry bud ;) id hope you are different enough to skip lifes awkward stage, thatd be a great thing for you and something you would not regret missing out on, butl you can differ in certain aspects while remaining subject to other traits of a 'standard' 14 year old. Good luck either way, you seem like an intelligent 14 year old with some priorities. Also remember she is most likely as awestruck by a boy as you are by that girl, its not a stable time for females either!

I made the funniest joke i think ive ever made😁😁 stable time+females.. Lol.   I joke!

Probably since all the passengers were likely knocked unconscious and soon after died when the plane rose to the high altitude it did before dropping below radar, further suggesting that theres much more to this plane crap than we know. Of course im truthfully hoping it just crashed because thats the safer possibility. Conspiracy theories get me goin though. Anyways, not trying to berate just answering the rhetorical question.

It's what we do. We hijack threads like airplanes coming out of Malaysia............. To soon?
Probably since all the passengers were likely knocked unconscious and soon after died when the plane rose to the high altitude it did before dropping below radar, further suggesting that theres much more to this plane crap than we know. Of course im truthfully hoping it just crashed because thats the safer possibility. Conspiracy theories get me goin though. Anyways, not trying to berate just answering the rhetorical question.

I know, completely tasteless joke and I apologize if I offend anyone. I personally question the "evidence" of the crash. Correct me if I'm wrong but they still have zero debris, though probably not impossible, a plane hitting water that fast is like hitting a wall. Unless the pilot was able to set it down gently, and the plane basically sank. Either way, 100% unfortunate. Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

I have a baaaad habit of answering rhetorical questions just cuz, so sorry if i made you feel bad :(
