I just lost to this... The guy got a {Mirror mad phantasm} his graveyard, Played his commander which is {The Mimeoplasm} and copied the phantasm, played a {Laboratory Maniac} then used Mirror-Mad's ability to shuffle his commander into his deck. Since there wasn't another Mirror-Mad in the deck, he milled himself out and killed me...
when {the mimeoplasm} copies a creature with an ability referring to the named creature, won't the name be effectively be replace by the mimeoplasm and then when activated the {mirror-mad phantasm}'s ability will still find {the mimeoplasm}?

No, it's not a copy as it switches zones. Just like a clone is not still whatever it copied when bounced to your hand
