Title: Mana web
Post by: Lespend on March 31, 2012, 03:56:54 PM
O know this may turn out to be a long drawn out explanation, but how exactly does {mana web} work? The reason I ask I that I've alway just tapped mana all at the same time when casting a spell, does each individual land tap seperatly?

So, I think what this means is that the player who is affected by this has to tap all of their lands of the same color when they play a spell of that color. For instance: Say this is on me and im playing a mono green deck. I have 6 forests on the field and I tap 1 of them to play an elf. When this ability resolves, all the rest of my forests tap. So basicaly all this does is allow you to only play 1 spell a turn.

However. In response to it tapping your lands you may tap your lands to play another spell. Also note that lands tapped by the card do not produce the mana of that color.

To clarify, you can tap your lands to add the mana they would produce to your mana pool. You could not "respond" to this ability by casting a creature/artifact/enchantment/or sorcery but you could pool your mana and then cast something after mana web resolves.

Uhh, yes you can. Read the second rule under ruleings.
