Title: Video Game Playtesting
Post by: Metalxdelights on March 11, 2014, 01:15:57 PM
Living in Dallas has it's perks, being near Id software/Bethesda Softworks and Gearbox software (two friends of mine work there) is one of them. I've done multiple playtests with them and today I got invited to do a five day special playtest with Id! I'm so excited! :D If you live near devs or major companies have you done these before? :) Have you recieved beta codes and was asked to provide feedback? I wanna know :)

Also...as you can imagine I've signed multiple NDAs so I can't talk about anything I have or will playtest, sorry >_<

Do me a favor and punch everyone at id in the balls.

"BUY Castle Wolfenstein for Doom 4 beta!"

How about they actually finish a game properly

My boyfriend is pretty pissed about the same thing >_< He's been waiting for Doom for ages it seems. The only press info they've mentioned prior to beta info was only that they were working on it and "it'll be done when it's done"

I'm sure he was equally unsatisfied with Rage.

It feels like they literally got to a certain level and just said, cut the game here, lets start on doom 4...wait no let's port doom 3 in 3d...wait Wolfenstein?

Ugh....

Yup, he didn't like that one too much either. I personally haven't played it. I've played most wolfenstein games for PC...so I hope the constant pushbacks for New Order is worth the wait.

It looks like a great trailer, hope it holds up well

Alien isolation has my eye also but alien colonial marines was awful. Sega dropped the ball on that one but the other alien series games have been decent. So I wait

I played Alien colonial marines and was majorly disappointed. Prior to playing I was so excited, went to the launch party and everything.

Now Alien Isolation looks awesome! I like the way they are treating this one, has a bit of a horror survival game feel to it.
