if i steal an opponents creature, and then it dies, does it go directly to owners graveyard? or it attempts to go to controllers and then goes to owners yard?

Owners GY

404.1. A graveyard is a discard pile. Any object that's countered, discarded, destroyed, or sacrificed is put on top of its owner's graveyard, as is any instant or sorcery spell that's finished resolving. Each player's graveyard starts out empty.

If you could put my cards in your graveyard, imagine how many "thefts" or "accidents" (open to interpretation) would happen at a large tourney

OI!

I can't tell how many {pacifism}s I have lost when cleaning up after a game. Using different coloured sleeves than your opponent(s) can really help sort things out after a match.
