Title: Here are the mechanics in my set
Post by: Birdbrain on February 26, 2014, 12:12:00 PM
For green

(Unmanned as of now) N
[alternate casting cost]-- when you cast CARDNAME, if you payed its (name) cost, put N +1/+1 counters on it

For red

Fervor
During the damage step, if you cast two or more spells this turn, [effect]

For black

Burst N (couldn't think of a better name)
When you cast CARDNAME, you may sacrifice a creature. If you do, CARDNAME costs N less to cast

For blue

Riddle
When CARDNAME enters the battlefield, target player may reveal a card from there hand with a converted mana cost of [Own CMC + 1] if they don't, [effect]

Still thinking on whites though

I'm trying to go on the mechanics having synergy with there allies. Except for {U} and {B}. Because they seem like they would be the least organized in a creature set. There both tempo strategies however, and have synergy that way

Mentor- when you cast this spell you may put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control if that creature has a lower converted mana cost than this spell.

that actually fits with the flavor I wanted with white. With ancient China

It also fits into the control theme I wanted by encouraging higher CMC cards in the deck...

It even supports its allies. With blues tempo strategy and green dealing with +1/+1 counters...I said I didn't want any more help. But I'm definitely using this mechanic thanks
