Title: Ral Zarek Infinite Turns
Post by: Erik_the_gray on February 25, 2014, 10:35:23 AM
 {Contagion Engine} x2 +  {Ral Zarek}

It's a hefty mana cost but with two {Contagion Engine}s you can x4 proliferate loyalty counters on {Ral Zarek} to continuously use his ultimate for free turns. In the off chance you win 0 flips or 1 flip this combo wouldn't be perfect, but chances are you'll win at least two flips and keep going.

(25% chance to win 2, 12.5% chance to win 3, 6.125% chance to win 4, 3.0625% chance to win 5 -- if you maintain heads or tails throughout entire trial)

Also, for cheaper mana, lower cost proliferate abilities could be used.

You can also have {Doubling Season} out and {Venser, the Sojourner} to flicker ral

Edit: this is a terrible idea. Forgot venser returns at the end step

So what.. Have doubling and vensor in play. Play ral zarek and ultimate him. Flicker him with vensor, he comes in at the end. As long as u get atleast 1 xtra turn off ral zarek (which is very likely) you rinse and repeat the next turn.

Even though it makes it a three color deck, a  {Grand Abolisher} would add insult to injury preventing any kind of backlash during your infinite turns.

{Teferi Mage of Zhalfir} is a bit different, but still inhibits plays on your turn :) unfortunately doesn't stop abilities, but it's still pretty good :)
