Anyone else think there should be some sort of team derived from our little hub here? I mean I feel like we wouldn't need a sponsor if we pooled cards. I know it's a problem of distance, but hell it's 2012 right?
It does seem like a lot of fun, and I would also like to see it happen, but there are some things stopping us
-format: not everyone plays standard
-Admittance, who decides who gets in and who can't?
-cards would be slow to ship around but it would be interesting
-Only a few of us play competitively, with RyanNorris out of mtg, it's one less competitive player
-A lot of posters are sensitive toward their decks, and may not be open to necessary criticisism.
I'm not shooting down the idea, I think it's awesome, it will just be difficult to execute.
That would be sweet, but I only play edh. My standard days are over! Sick of tryin to keep up every 3 months!
Aye im with it. I dont know how exactly i would help but if there was id be sure to do it. It sounds like an awesome idea. But loop does have a point
Many points. All good. Until "commander" becomes an official competitive tourney format, I won't be playing competitively. That gives me sad face
Standard is about to have a lot of cards in the format. And I think if you want to be in, you should be able to be. We could have teams for different formats, and each of the big three guys who run this app can be team leaders. I'm just ready to
Move up in this game and my card shops owner is hesitant to sponsor a team cause only 4 of us are serious, and only one of us has great original ideas.
Commander would jusT be a bunch of Monoblue and cheatyface decks competitively.

That's true. I keep forgetting about the lame cheap decks because I limit myself to modern card frame only. And very heavy emphasis on a theme!
I would do that!! But I only have one standard deck. It's built for FNM mind you, but I am still a beginner.
To do this we would need a website btw. It could not be run from the forums!
I'm actually really liking this idea. Not to actually be on the team and play in tourneys, but to help in any way possible!
This is not a bad idea, but the biggest problem is trust and distance from each other.
Would someone care to explain what you mean by "having a iMtG team"? As in what is it for, where's the competition, etc.

They want to form a team like Team fireball (channelfireball).
And what does this team do? What events are there for such a team?

There a group of pros that build and test play decks for GP's and PT's. They share cards with each other and help each other during the tournements when they can.
We can do it all on Cockatrice.
I play fnm and I'd like to move up in the ranks. I've been doing very well so far. I'll be following this thread to see where it goes
I been getting heavy into Legacy decks. Legacy is expensive to build but not as expensive as Vintage. I am working on a few legacy decks right now and they are pushing the $600 plus range. I have been slowly accumulating high value cards. Last week I got 2 {force of will} for $50 a piece. Yesterday I got 2 {Umezwas jitte} for $16 a piece and 3 foil {noble Hierarch} for $80 total.....that was a great deal for foils and I had to buy em :) But yea I like the idea of creating some sort of team......gotta start somewhere.
Edit: the costs I don't look foward to is the revised dual lands....I have none

Yea, kinda....sry lol ;) But who else can appreciate buying a $50 piece of cardboard? You guys can so I am just sharing my elation.
But I am also saying that I have a lot to offer and would consider something like this.
Looks like I'll be adding everything pre standard tonight
