Title: Sudden spoiling
Post by: Nymuera on February 23, 2014, 01:56:05 PM
Does {sudden spoiling} override a creatures protection from black ability?

But split second doesn't stop static abilities. Static abilities are continuous and dont use the stack.

It says nothing about the nature of the ability (activated or otherwise). The issue is one of these, from what I can tell:

Does a creature with protection lose protection? It does; it's an ability printed on the card

Or,

Does Spoiling hit something with protection? Which it does; no targeting happens
I was concentrating to hard on the split second part and didnt read the whole card :P my bad

The essence of the question was if the protection from black would keep the card from being affected by {sudden spoiling}. Thank you all for the responses and answers.
