Title: What's this Blue Moon
Post by: Mattao19 on February 21, 2014, 10:16:42 PM
Haven't watched coverage yet. But can somebody post a sample deck list?

Haha it's modern mono blue {Master of Waves} with a splash of {Blood Moon} at the core.  Just, y'know, redubbed in modern goodies rather than standard.  I hate mono blue MoW, but that deck is pretty neat.

It seems like more of a meta call (blood moon crushes Zoo) than a great overall deck if the meta moves towards less greedy mana bases...

I agree, I personally think it's not an amazing deck. I mean yeah, it can drop a T3 {Blood Moon} and almost lock some people out of the game, but that doesn't actually kill you ({Snapcaster Mage} and {Lightning Bolt} seem to be the most used wincon). I think the deck creator did a very good job of keeping it under wraps and making a pretty solid anti-meta game deck, but I don't expect this deck to stick around very long without some tweaks that might just have it looking like UR Delver.

I realize that, the decklists haven't been posted yet but you can find his actual decklist now that he's done a deck tech. I simply posted an example of what a "blue moon" deck looks like.

So what you're saying is you expect this deck to appear... Once in a blue moon
I see what you did there ;)

Thank you
And actually, I think this deck is very powerful and a great deck for the format. It is the prison deck that this format seemingly needed, properly. Of course it won't do so well next time, but don't disclose the power of this deck.
