{awaken the ancient} has never performed for me tbh, its 5 mana if you want to capitalize on the hasteyness, it makes one of your lands susceptible to removal, and its just a vanilla creature. Idk i didnt like it in my deck but if it works for you it works for you

Id also put {lightning strike} in MB over {skullcrack} and SB in skullcrack, unless you exclusively use lightning strike to hit your opponent. The creature removal option is nice and handy
