Title: Khans of Tarkir
Post by: Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth on February 20, 2014, 12:18:01 PM
WoTC has been applying for trademarks and two are "Warlords of Khan" and "Khans of Tarkir". A lot of people are saying these will be future Magic sets, what do you think? I think that these will be used as names for another game, not Magic, because the names don't sound like Magic. Magic names are "Mirrodin", "Innistrad", "Return to Ravnica", "Tempest", ect. and "Warlords of Khan" sounds kind of corny.

Then 'Champions of Kamigawa' wouldn't have been a "magic" name.

I think it's perfectly plausible that that could be a set name

It is, but look at how Kamigawa went and then think about how they have never used that style of name again.... It could be a set, but I still think this is another game, possibly a D&D expansion or something.

Sounds like it's from Kijudo. WOTC's child TCG.
