Title: Bestow cost
Post by: Noblellama on February 18, 2014, 06:45:11 PM
May I use {fist of suns} to bestow my {chromanticore} for {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} instead of {2}{W}{U}{B}{R}{G}?

I don't believe so.  {Fist of Suns} alters the card's casting cost, and the bestow mechanic gives an alternate casting cost that would affect the spell. In short, fist of suns would not affect this alternate casting cost.

RESOLVED

This answer was correct, but it sounds like a guess. Remember, "Limit Guessing" is a principle rule for this section. Don't focus on answering quickly. It needs to be done correctly and with certainty.

Otherwise, good. I like that you followed up with a rules citation. 👍

702.102a:
"Bestow [cost]" means "You may cast this card by paying [cost] rather than its mana cost."
So therefore, it is another alternate cost.

Do I have the right to say resolved?

You don't get to resolve your own posts and I don't know enough to resolve it for you.

You all make this too easy for me, I might need a new section to lurk on and just come here when some one alerts me to a difficult or heavily debated question.
