I'm just wondering if I have out a {xathrid necromancer} and lots of 1/1 soldier tokens, I {shrivel} my tokens, do I put a 2/2 zombie? Do the soldiers count as humans? Or does it have to say the word human on the card text itself. Assistance would be lovely.
It has to say "creature-human" on it to count as a human. I'll find the rule.
RESOLVED
Only creatures which specifically have the subtype human are humans, so no.
{Gather the Townsfolk} makes human tokens, {Akroan Crusader} does not.
Noooo, blast! Thanks guys.
Any suggestions as to ways to make lots of humans tokens?
This is the closest ruling I could find.
110.5c (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=110.5c): A spell or ability that creates a creature token sets both its name and its creature type. If the spell or ability doesn't specify the name of the creature token, its name is the same as its creature type(s). A "Goblin Scout creature token," for example, is named "Goblin Scout" and has the creature subtypes Goblin and Scout. Once a token is on the battlefield, changing its name doesn't change its creature type, and vice versa.
Hey cats and birds can be soldiers too, maaaan

{Thatcher Revolt}? They automatically sacrifice for you, no Shrivel needed!
