So if a card has heroic it has to be the "target"? So cards that say target do it but if it does not then it is a no go?
Yep, to trigger heroic a card must say "target."
114.1a An instant or sorcery spell is targeted if its spell ability identifies something it will affect by using the phrase "target [something]," where the "something" is a phrase that describes an object, player, or zone. The target(s) are chosen as the spell is cast; see rule 601.2c. (If an activated or triggered ability of an instant or sorcery uses the word target, that ability is targeted, but the spell is not.)
I win this time :P
Correct: A card must say "target" on it to target something.
Edit: 17 seconds! :P
Yes. It MUST say "Target". If it doesn't, Heroic does NOT trigger. Also, YOU must target it, if your opponent targets it, it does not trigger
Caps for emphasis :p
I'm too slow at this... Lol
Well, now you got 3 answers! :)
Really? I thought that auras targeted as well even though they don't say target, it says "enchant creature"

Auras do target, but that is a specific property of auras, which are an exception to the rule
In order to Enchant it, you must Target it. It's like a pre requisite
