So, its a hypothetical EDH game.
My opponent's general has been tucked into his deck.
I play {Pyxis of Pandemonium} and tap it. We both exile the top card of our library face down.
My opponent tutors for his tucked general. However, it's not in his library. He suspects that it may have been exiled with {Pyxis of Pandemonium}. But technically nobody can look at the face down card.
What is the ruling here for the general to go back into the command zone?
The card will remain exiled. Players are not allowed to look at the cards, so there's no way to confirm that the exiled card is their commander. With no way to determine this, there's no way for them to send it back to the command zone. Pretty evil way to get rid of someone's commander.
