Okay thought I'd ask this question. It happened against me at the pre release and I think the judge was wrong. Opponent had a vanilla 2/2. Puts {Ordeal of Heliod} on it. Then plays {Aspect of Hydra} for 2 devotion targeting the 2/2. Then attacks. Ordeal triggers gets +1/+1 counter.
Does the ordeal get sacrificed then?
Judge said yes cause it got +2/+2 from {Aspect of Hydra}. And attacking gave it it's 3rd +1/+1..
{Ordeal of Heliod} triggers at 3 +1/+1 counters, but {Aspect of Hydra} doesn't give counters, it gives +X/+X.
Your judge is wrong.

Yeah I said that it's +1/+1 counters.. The hydra doesn't give counters, just a boost.. But it just delayed they guy getting beat down.. I beat him 2-1.
Then this past weekend he was in my pod for a free draft., single elimination. He beat my buddy, so had a choice top 4 split all get 2 packs each , or we play and pay out is 4-2-1-1.. We'll 3 of us were good for split, but his brother was animate about him playing it out, thinking he had a great deck. So we had to play.. I ended drawing him to play. The other 2, one guy forfieted to get into next draft, and told my other buddy that he wants a extra pack for giving him free win if it ends up right.. Yeah I beat this guy down again.. 2-0. My life totals in both games.. 22 and 2nd over 35.. He got smoke and stuck with 1 pack... I got 3, my other buddy and guy who forfieted each too 2 packs.
Also the judge is usually spot on.. Heck they host pro tour qualifiers.
