I have TWO upcoming adventures that I'd like to share (also to see if anyone might be attending/alert those that may want to attend):
1. Star City Games Open Series: March 1-2 in Atlanta, GA I'll be going for the Standard tournament of course, but they're also offering Legacy and they'll be doing live coverage featuring Cedric Phillips & Patrick Sullivan. For more info on this particular tournament, as well as other SCG tournaments that may be near you, check starcitygames.com.
2. Pro Tour Qualifier: March 8 in Madison, TN @ Next Level Games This PTQ starts at 11:00 am and goes until 9:00 pm; the winner of this will play in Pro Tour – Journey into Nyx in Atlanta Georgia USA. Address is 2064 Gallatin Pike North Madison, TN. 37115.
I'm truly ecstatic about finally getting to travel for these types of things! I hope everyone gets the opportunity to do this at least once in his/her life, because it's really a treat.
Didn't you mention one in va coming up to?
I could fly solo to those, but I really wish I had someone to ride with. Atl and tenn are both maybe 6 hour drives
And my new standard I feel Is pretty competitive
As much as I'd like to hang, GA and TN are a bit far (and expensive in gas money) for me to be traveling just to get my butt kicked in cards all day long lol.
Swing by Ohio sometime, and we'll talk ;)
There's actually an IQ for Star City Games in Mason, OH on the 15th of this month :D

Only a 2 hour drive... But I can't go anywhere so soon. My dog just had surgery, I can't leave her for a day :(
Hmmm.. Now to check some calendars...
It's all about that GP Richmond man!!!
GP Philly is my end goal this year.
Come out to the SCG Open at St. Louis next weekend! I got a team of 20 going with me!
I want to go to an SCG event at some point, but I really don't want to go solo. Also, I don't have anyone around me that plays regularly anymore, so play testing is pretty terrible haha.

This
I'll be in Nashville for the PTQ, passing up the Richmond GP. Helping a local store with game day on the first, but Atlanta isn't ruled out yet either though.
Action Packed Comics in Kingston Ontario is having a Born Of The Gods game day tournament on Mar 1&2
Lets keep tournaments to a minimum prize package @ $2K or more. Most stores will have game day tournaments etc. lets keep each other informed of bigger tournaments in our respective regions that may incline one to travel more than an hour away
How much is it typically to enter these shindigs

Totally depends on the store/event. can be anywhere from $5 to $40 depending on if it's sealed, constructed, or a big event like a GP.
Speaking of which, I'll be going to GP Montreal on the 15th-16th of March. Its a sealed deck GP so no need to drop lots of cash on a competitive deck!
