What quote (preferably by a famous/well known person) describes your playstyle and why?
I think the best for me is either: "Speak softly and carry a big stick." -Theodore Roosevelt. This works well because I love to diplomatically manipulate people while I pound them Voltron style. or...
"La plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu'il n'existe pas." ("The devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist.")"- Charles Baudelaire, Paris Spleen. I usually downplay my boardstate to make myself seem weak, but then I come out strong with an infinite combo or some shenanigan that wins me the game.
"Measure twice, cut once"
not really a quote but a saying for carpenters
When the going gets weird, the weird go pro.
Examples:
Shocking my centaur battle master in response to target to enable it to grow +3/+3 (counters)
Several master of cruelties on board
Sire of insanity being played
Madcap skills on ErebOs for the win with only a whip on board, returning a desecration demon with it!
Discarding 4 cards in hand to have lotleth troll kill a desecration demon
Madcap on carytid as opponent begins assemble the legion tactics
Death at any cost
Some of these quotes are so great. I'd love to play against some of you.
If you ever visit Alaska ill play against you
"Tell me what you cherish most. Give me the pleasure of taking it away."
-Sephiroth
This quote fits me very well with my decks that center on disabling your good creatures.
It's not exactly a quote but some buddies I play with have given me the nickname "Fuerza Bruta", which means brute force. My favorite way to play is aggro with a little bit devistating control spells that allow me to barrel through. Like I said not a quote but it still speaks to my play style.
"Death to the opposition!" - Worf, DS9
"Night into day; pleasure into pain; a beauty into a pariah...that is what makes a Transy butler, and I shall make one hell of a feast out of you."
- Claude Faustus, Black Butler II.
This explains my Kaalia deck.
Night into day = the presence of Demons and Angels in the deck.
Pleasure into pain = the shock lands, and the {Bloodgift Demon}.
A beauty into a pariah = Kaalia herself.
Making a feast = utterly destroying the opposition with my horde of creatures.
The slow and steady wins the race.
I may start out slow but you give me time and like a tree i will grow and yo try to push me i wont move.
or
I will smash you face in to the groung with this 50 thousand pound bould with in a sec of meeting you
these are both my playing styles, im a dega mage. so im either going 1-2 of the colors. so i will either run R/G or R/B or G/B
May you find peace on the high road, unless you prefer a fiery chaos, then may I suggest the low road.
This actually comes from a magic card...
"Someday, someone will best me. But it will not be today and it will not be you."

This doesn't pertain to magic at all. But this reminds me of one of my absolute favorite quotes from a runner. Just so it makes more sense I am very big into running. "Somebody may beat me, but they are going to need to bleed to do it"-Steve Prefontaine . I love that quote.

Well, it's my playstyle in a quote :P
For my control decks:
"You think, therefore I take away your what you love the most".
For my aggro decks:
"You spilled my blood, I spill more of yours until you reach the verge of death".
"No rest. No mercy. No matter what."
-Akroma's Memorial
"I will rip off your head and $#!T down your neck!" -Duke Nukem
jkjk
"The fire which enlightens is the same fire which consumes." -Henri Frederic Amiel
or maybe
"Catch on fire and people will come for miles to see you burn." -John Wesley
Fear rules those weak enough to accept it.
1v1 nothing's too important to be sacrificed

Haha. I almost died reading that. ππππ
It's the truth!
My play style is defined by two quotes.
"Hulk Smash"
-Hulk
And
"I'll be back"
-Terminator 2
Aggro + graveyard shenanigans
For all you Warhammer 40k players out there
"Order. Unity. Obedience. We taught the galaxy these things long ago, and we will do so again."
βImotekh the Stormlord
I play a battlefield control/aggro R/W
"Work? This Rust Bucket? I'll see what I can do" - Anakin in the animated series
All my gimmicky decks
"My what a colourful and interesting plant you have there!" -Dude on the sidewalk from "Little Shop of Horrors"
My Animar Deck
"Give me your clothes" -The Terminator
My Clone deck
Quote"Jack of all trades, master of none,
Certainly better than a master of one"
I like to play all formats and play all different styles of decks at that. I don't think I'm the best, but well rounded.
well considering that 3/4 of all the decks i make have a sac to kill opponent method im going to say that my quote is
in the end we are chalk lines on the concrete drawn only to be washed away(ffdp)
