Any suggestions on how I could improve this weenie deck. î—
I have quite a similar deck that does well with {Hero of Bladehold}. With her, Kemba and {Timely Reinforcements}, I'd add in {Intangible Virtue}. ðŸ'»
Some of your cards don't combo with {Champion of the Parish}. Is that intentional?
I would get rid of the Darksteel Plates and add in more O-rings, at a first glance.
I think you should look at some of the more aggressive equipment, things that increase power.
Agreed. {Argentum Armor} springs to mind, {Batterskull} and maybe even {Skinwing}.
If you have the money, the Swords outclass all other equipment.
All of these are great suggestions. However, the only thing I'm not gonna buy to try out are the swords. My wife would kill me if spent that for a deck. Lol. Thanks for the tips guys.
This deck won the game day tourney for me for yesterday. The only thing that didnt help was the plates. So that's were I'll start putting in your suggestions.
Congrats, pal! Always good to see WW comin out on top! Yeah the plates have never helped me none, but I'm holding strong, maybe one day! 😉
Why the {Buried Ruin}s? Doesn't seem like you have any artifacts that vital to your deck.
Buried Ruins for the shrine. Get to use them twice. Here alot of people are still goin strong on sideboarding artifact removal. So they destroy boots or a shrine and i get it back. î... Which happens alot.
I see the use. 4 of them though?
When I find my other quarters it'll be 4 quarters and 3 ruins.
Oh, and Prophylaxis. I did make some of the cards not combo with the champion on purpose. Just because this is a human deck and the champion is in the deck doesn't mean it has to have all humans. I have a R/W/B vampire deck with 11 vampires. It's one of the best decks in this area(excluding solar flare and kessig ramp).
Kessig Ramp hasn't caught on at all in my local store, but I do hear one of the players wanting to try it.
Best of luck to your deck. Personally the {Champion of the Parish} can get a little out of hand and ridiculous lol.
I agree with Karrthus, just because you have a theme deck, don't be a slave to the theme. I think that's an important lesson for new players. You can have non-zombies in your zombie deck if the card does something your deck needs.
Very true, I run 2 {Phyrexian Obliterator} in my mono black vampire deck. The question arises: Why would you not run the Obliterator in a mono black deck??? I did run 2 {Abyssal Persecutor} as well but I found them less effective with the theme.
It is a good point to make. I use {Grand Architect}s in variants of my Merfolk deck along with {Thada Adel, Acquisitor} and since I can, {Myr Superion}.
I completely agree with blackjester. A themed deck is fun to play, but most of the time are not any good. When building a homebrew, think of all the top decks to beat: solarflare, wolf run, tempered steel, mono red, GW humans.... Etc. If your deck triumphs against those, your good to go! :)
