There is a standard way to do this, {Master of cruelties} with an {Aqueous Form} gets through, Then you sac him with {Tymaret The Murder King} to deal 2 damage

well thers always the chance that the opponent has you down to 2 life, so you couldn't play it for the life cost

Doesn't gut shot only cost 1 red though? So if you could pay for master of cruelties I think you can pay for a gut shot
