I think I will probably cry when shock lands get cycled out. I suppose we will see more scry lands with Journey Into Nyx. It will be quite interesting when the change takes place and only Theros block cards will be allowed in standard. Thoughts? Comments?
slower format.
Pain lands!!! That don't tap for colorless!!! Muhahaha!!!!
So what your saying is we only get a bunch of {City of Brass} lol

City is better :)
Mono decks wont be any slower
^ LOL! XD
On topic, I don't personally play Standard, so things rotating in and out of the format don't really bother me. For me, a card is only as good as it can be when placed against my Kaalia deck. However, I can see why people wouldn't want them out; the shocks are great, and they make for fast-paced games. I feel sorry for those of you who'll lose them.
Honestly, kinda looking forward to it. Now I'm not going to have to worry about standard decks starting out at a $40-$80 landbase if I want to play anything fun and not mono-blue/mono-black.

Heh, then watch all the scrylands shoot up in value. All the duals do it while in standard. The Innistrad lands did, as did the Scars of Mirrodin lands
...true enough. Get em all now! Flip for triple profit!
A guy at my lgs has 30 or so {temple of mystery}... I think he is on the same boat as us.
I have always dreamed of a sandard with nothig but basics, fetches, and spell lands. Idk why, it just seems ideal to me.

Basics and fetches would be great. Or even basics and utility lands. Not gonna lie, I miss {Nephalia Drownyard}. And {Desolate Lighthouse}. And {Gavony Township}. And....And... :(
Yep. I need Temples.
The next set is (Hopefully) Return to Zendikar, so we will (hopefully) get the Onslaught fetches!

Wizards had no problem knocking prices in modern to make it playable. They won't reprint the onslaught fetches due to legacy only.
While its in their power. Not going to happen.

How do those have any connections? Onslaught took place on Dominaria? I'm confused.

Just the fact that both sets had fetch lands. Not where the set takes place.
Thanks for all the interesting comments. I hope that the shock lands retain thier value. I'm pretty sure they will because of modern.
They will retain value for sure. Probably some of the best duals other than the originals.
Ill eventually have my full playset of all of them within the last 6months 😹
