I thought bout putting him in but just felt my other choices were a better fit...mainly due to the fact I really don't want any double black in my mana cost...also the reason {hero's downfall} isn't in

Maybe mogis instead of nylea? The trample she adds is redundant

Or perhaps erebos? Yes you need 5 Devo for him to be a creature, but for 4 mana your opponent can't gain life and you get card draws also.

He helped me beat a mono black deck last night greatly with a jund a build. I even got to make him a creature and threw madcap on him to take the win.

Thought bout mogis but I feel the trample from nylea is substantial not to mention she'll become a creature quite often in this deck I believe...I love erebos and am actually trying to fit him in the sideboard somehow
