Title: Best pack for return on investment?
Post by: Slenderbro on February 03, 2014, 03:45:47 PM
What is the best pack (alpha through botg) to buy to get the most trade value for my money?

I know buying singles is more efficient but i have a thing for opening packs.

I'm gonna end up buying a box of whatever you guys decide on so plz help.

Current bets: time spiral
Morningtide

Alpha. Even the junk rares from that set are worth a lot.

Well lets just put this out there: anything revised and earlier (minus the dark, fallen empires) will be money, but the price of a box will be money also.

I feel like even though there is a ton of hype on the zendikar block. Lorywyn/eventide/shadowmoor/morning tide are my bets.

Lorywyn is about $550 a box...

That's not actually too bad per box. But what are some of the good pulls? Just the switch lands?

Also, if you buy revised or earlier, make the booster box is still factory sealed

Alpha box is around 20,000-25,000 last I checked. Probably more with SCG's arbitrary price hike.
Well seeing as how i dont have that kind of money it's gonna have to stay under 800$

I'd agree with P3K being the most worthwhile (staying out of Alpa-Revised). Although you could also try a box of Time Spiral. Last time me and my bro opened one, we got 650 dollars. worth of cards.
