Title: Slow players will kill me.
Post by: Taysby on February 01, 2014, 09:19:17 PM
I took last in the prerelease (won 1 match and lost 3.  Someone lost 3 (I beat them once) and had a bye.  They took higher than me.  Wtf?) and in the last round, they started the timer 20 minutes late.  2 slow idiots actually took it to time and took 4 minutes to do one turn.  They sit and think about a decision they can't even make!  It's driving me insane!  I can't get my pity pack until they're done, so I'm stuck waiting an extra 35 minutes just because of how slow they are.  Rage!

You can ask a judge to come over and make them stop purposefully slowing play, can't you? If they are just trying to take as long as possible, then I'm pretty sure that's not allowed.

In the pity pack, I got the blue promo, but normal.  Garbage.  Seriously, my best card was {temple of silence}. It got to the point where I was unbelievably exited to draw my huge bomb, {nessian asp}. I had it, the green promo, and the 8/8 hexproof if it's not attacking or blocking and a couple unblockable guys.  It was horrible how bad my pulls were.

I love tromokratis... I've already traded for a playset of them and I'm building a deck around them. I need three more Whelming wave for it

I have to deal with this with a couple of friends in my playgroup, I tell them what I do myself.  Your first instinct, is usually your best bet in most situations.  Don't sit and think about something for 20 minutes, go with your gut, most of the time your right.  Not to derail but ever watch old episodes of who wants to be a millionaire?  People will say, "it's D, I'm sure of it!"  Then pause and think for a couple minutes and en up changing their own mind because they overthink it.  Most of the time it was right, and that's how your subconscious works.  Try to play a few games with them and tell them not to think so much, first decision is best decision.  And show them how much better it is.  All the advice I can give :).
