Just got back from the pre release. It was an awesome day. I was lucky enough to get a xenagos from the seeded pack. Unfortunately that is where my luck ran out. Though the rest of my cards contained a fair few decent, playable cards, there were no other money cards or super awesome rares. I went 4-2 for a reapectable 12th place finish (out of 41 players) and was only one win behind the winner with my green/red deck splashed with a little bit of blue. My two losses were heart breaking due to mana screw as well as my own inability to not make stupid novice errors. But there were a couple of thrilling wins there for me too where both myself and my opponent were at 4 life or less by the end of it. Fanatic of xenagos proved to be the MVP in my deck so I would highly recommend that card to anyone who plays the gruul colours. All in all it was a very enjoyable day! I can't wait for game day :)
{eater of souls}, {mogis, god of slaughter} were definitely two of them. Mogis in particular was winning games by himself. And {nessian wilds ravager} was causing a lot of hurt. Unfortunately, out of the whole 41 people nobody saw any {brimaz, king of oreskos} (or elvis as I like to call him).
Sorry the card was {eater of hope}
I just got back from my 2 prereleases today! First one was solo this morning. Ended 3-1 got 3 packs for payout.. Should have asked kid in last match to split.. Would have each got 7.. Oh we'll. prize packs crap.
2nd pr was 2 headed giant. Went 2-1-1.. We decided to draw on the last round cause we were garunteed to make top 8. In top 8 we beat a team, 4 teams left and 3 out of 4 teams wanted to split..( each person would get 7 packs) 1 guy on a team said no he wanted to play for it. So we had to play it out. We drew that team and ended up winning! That's what they get.. They got 4 packs. So made it to top 2, it was midnight both of us looked at each other and said split. So each player in top 2 teams got 10 packs each and 5 legion deck boxes ( 1 of each mana color) opened 1 pack got a {fate unraveler}. Using last 9 packs to play a game of wizards tower... Buddy told me he opened crap in his 10 packs..
Yeah I went red as well. That dragon is awesome. At worst it just eats removal opening the way for your other threats.

DO NOT underestimate that dragon for the red path!!!
I have lovingly nicknamed him {Thundermaw Hellkite}'s retarded cousin.
I played in two different events with varied success. {Kiora, the Crashing Wave} {Arbiter of the Ideal} were just Insane. 9/9 krakens? Ummm yes please.
I was able to ultimate Kiora three different games with support of Theros sphinx's, and blue tempo spells. {Nullify} and {Sudden Storm} also did solid work. Keys were ramp in the form of {springleaf drum} and good card advantage. God removal and solid toughness will win games.

Out of all the packs I've opened and seen opened I have yet to see a {springleaf drum}.. Which is about 2 boxes worth... Also. None have been played
Go go black!
Went black in 2hg originally partner didn't remember we were teammates so I went with a random. We did pretty well, he was green and splashed white. I went dimir and had agent of fated and 2 sea gods revenge, a lot of controlling the board on my end.
Won first game, lost 2nd and won 3rd game with our life being at under 10 (2 in the end) and I ended up milling one deck, out with {Guardians of Meletis} and {phenax}'s ability
Opponent was stunned when I milled all of his land and he ended up with only 5 total, he was holding nothing but bigger spells too :)
Took 3rd and got another 3 prize packs. Pulled the anti draw rare

Really? Haha. I opened two. It was fun using springleaf at the end of opponents turn to trigger inspired.
