Rakdos Minos has treated me well this ths draft season. Took top standings and split (I was winning but a parking ticket in LA is not worth the extra $5)
Originally went Green and at the END of pack 2, after I took a few felhide minos and the haste red mino, a kragma war caller was left in picks and I took it and switched it up from gruul to rakdos
Blew out first opponent, he hadn't played magic in some time, bronze sable with ordeal of purph and prowlers helm was fearsome
2nd match my opponent usually has a decent standard deck, haven't played him much in limited:
G1 blew him out with T1 ak hero, T2 Sable, then t3 haste mino, t4 haste mino, t5 kragma warcaller
G2 my opponent started killing my early guys off, did a misplay as he forced attacks with the siren. Prowlers helm was a key force in winning this match after I was able to stabilize my board
He had me down to 10 and then the whip came out. I regain life into the 20s, he scooped after I put out a 5 drop creature.
3rd match was with guy across me from draft
Game 1, lucked out with a really dominant whip and Minotaur combo. Ended up with 38 life, and he had a monstrous asp out
Game 2, he got the jump start on me and was able to put 2 Ness asp out and one eventually was monstrous, I have no removal and got beat pretty nasty
Almost lost my last game, he had early board control and got me down to 2 Life but whip and then a top deck Gary after hitting them with 6 dmg from mogis and arena athlete got my life in a safe place. So I was able to stabilize and bring him down with the mino skull cleaver and prowlers helm.
My opponent had passed me the whip also, he was not please, especially since he had thought about it before it went to me. For a 1 of, the whip came up in every game I played. Totally worth it.
My key cards for this draft:
Gary - opened a pack with him, did not pass him! If I didn't draw him in game 3 I would not have won :/
{Whip of ErebOs} - life gain like a mofo!
{Minotaur Skullcleaver} - 2x of these really owned up the competitors real early. At least 3 games by t4 opponents were down to 10-12 range.
{prowlers helm} - no one ever has walls.

I knew you'd love the bronze sable in action
He's pretty awesome for limited if you splash colors. He also took a monstrous ness asp to the face and helped keep me alive. /salute
