Would be 4 life unless u pay 1 black but we get what your saying
And I would disagree that lashwrithe is better. The blade only costs 1 and you can reap benefits on more than one creature since counters are permanent. I combo my blade with cards like {bloodghast}, {blood throne vampire}, and {Phyrexian tower}......and killing their creatures as well of course

I think that {lashwrithe} is an excellent card, and would be awesome in this format, but I'm going to agree with cltrn81. I can't get around loving counters. Also, if the blade is destroyed after the creature got counters, they stay, however when {lashwrithe} goes, so dies every plus that the creature got. Not to mention that the blade come out soo much earlier, as cltrn81 pointed out.
