Title: Dragon shield prices
Post by: Destore117 on January 28, 2014, 06:54:20 PM
Wondering how much does it costs for 100 dragon shield card sleeves for Magic? I can't find a consistent pricing anywhere.

About right. Most lgs here too. $12. Sometimes can find online for $10.

My LGS charges 9$ which is the best deal I've found anywhere, but on average I think you'll spend ~10$ I love them though, only sleeves ill use because of how long they last. Double sleeving with them hasn't caused any problems yet either :)

Just don't get orange. It's an ugly orange. I hate it.

Dragon shields are awesome.

Don't like white though because you can sort of see through it and see the card outline. Looks ugly.

A little off topic but I love the clear sleeves! However they can get dirty. Black is classic.

Black is best.

I still like the pro mat sleeves. They work better for me on my play mat. Plus they're much easier to shuffle.

Generally you should stay away from metallic colors and go for purple or black for the highest quality.

I can't speak towards the golds, but I have two boxes worth of the silvers and really like them. Seem like good quality to me! The silvers are some of my favorites, actually.

Gold is a butt ugly color.  Trust me, one of my friends has them.
I like the gold sleeves.

I prefer the yellow over gold.

I enjoy the white sleeves, just to get under Nyghthawk's skin 😉 but truthfully I like white or lighter colors (pink, silver) because it provides contrast to blak bordered cards, makes them "pop"

The only ones I've bought so far are yellow and blue. I love both sets.

Yellow ones are great! Just bought some Green ones too! I used to use Ultra pro and now I realize that I was dumb lol at my LGS it's 50 Ultra Pro for $4 so $8 for a hundred and it's $11 for 100 Dragon Shields and well DS are worth the extra $3 bc they are amazing!!

So far I have:

Red - 1 box-  very good!
Green - 2 boxes - love these! Pretty good quality, and I love the shade of green so much!
Silver - 2 boxes - amazing!
White - 1 box - good (can see through a bit)
Black - 1 box - amazing! Shows dirt the least.
Blue - 1 box - gorgeous color! Pretty good quality.
Orange - 1 box - amazing!
Clear - 1 box - very good! Great quality, but shows dirt the most.
Purple - 1 box - honestly probably the best of all of them so far - highest quality I've seen, and I use them to draft every week!

That concluded my half-asses Gorzo review of Dragon Shields that I've used so far.

I have never had a single dragon shield break or tear or top-crumple btw.

Never used any until recently.  I do like these, but they are really slippery at first.

LGS Sells for 10 but they're a gamble. I've gotten really good ones and also some completely .poopy. ones.

Never had bad shields and I have a bunch.

The only way that I've seen shields split are from riffle shuffling, which most people do not do. If you do, shields might not be for you.
