Title: Slow offline cache
Post by: nebulis on January 27, 2014, 04:32:46 PM
iMTG downloads the offline cash about 2-3x faster then iMTG II. When I download the offline cache I am on wifi with a 50Mbps connection. This affects all my devices; iPhone 5S (AT&T 64GB), iPad 2 (wifi 64GB) and iPhone 5 (64GB no service was AT&T)

Prices or images?

Both. Also sometimes it will hang when starting. Will say "Getting prices" or "Getting images" sometimes it won't get past that.

I'm getting similar slowness in II. 5.2.1. Haven't timed it, but went back to the old one the other day as II was taking so long to move around in my library.

Updated to database 91 this evening and thusly have to reload the offline cache...  It's been downloading for 2 hours over wifi 802.11n 5Ghz with a 50Mbps down 10Mbps up connection. It's about 1/2 done as of this post.
iPhone 5S 7.0.4
Latest iMTG II available on App Store.

My iPad 2 is finished with the image and price offline cache (started at the same time as 5S)

iPad 2 6.1
Latest iMTG available on App Store.

Sorry to ramble on about this but it's highly annoying that it's so slow on iMTG II vs I.
