On topic: I ran Council for a brief moment. He's not really good enough to earn a slot. I only ran it because my build was insanely budgeted.
You could just name Verdict with the council.

That or {Sphinx's Revelation} in the mirror match they're going to board in {Pithing Needle} naming aetherling or at least they should.
Very true but is it worth it?
I never used it. There's better cards vs the mirror. It'll die quickly most control decks.

I have in my SB
2 {AEtherling}
2 {Pithing Needle}
3 {Gainsay} (obviously just for UWx)
2 Negates
The rest are for aggro
I'd drop the aetherlings out of your sb. They dont help much except vs control and they will side in the needles. Definitely a dead card at that point. {Blood Baron of Vizkopa} wrecks controls face. So does {Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver} you only need her for the plus ability. Exiling is much more devastating.
