One of my friends was at a yard sale. The woman had some magic cards for $10. He went through them and found a slightly played {force of will}, he's like "$10? For this pile? Right now? Let's do this?"

Same! I'm always hoping to find a lady selling her child's stuff and not realizing that there are P9 in their nerdy binder! I know that's a long shot, but I can dream, right?

It happened on the TV show Storage Wars. They found P9 and a whole mess of other good cards in a storage locker. They took them to a convention and sold them all for like $500, I think. They left laughing that they got so much money from those nerds. The nerds got the last laugh though. The cards were worth thousands.

They were Collector's Editions. Not tournament legal. The whole episode was probably fake either way. They had commons in the binder too and it's well documented that Storage Wars may plant items in lockers.
The episode was from awhile ago. I thought I remembered pausing it to view the cards. I don't remember them as gold bordered collectors editions. Either way, they were probably planted. That show wasn't fun anymore after I heard that.
Reality TV...scripted????? Never!
