So I was thinking I would have a 4-team planechase emperor edh competition next time I went home, with the winning team prize being splitting a box. Any tips or suggestions for how to make this more possible/fun?

instead of planechase could try armegeddon. its basically like planchase, except its a 100 card deck full of instant and sorceries that effect board state. like damnation, minds aglow. i made a forum a little bit ago

its kinda fun. i would post the deck but im still in the process of building it.
so how the rules go is that the armageddon deck would go last. so what you do is reveal the top card it gets X amount of Amageddon counters where x is equal to its cmc.
than you have 1 d6 where each number represents a symbol(like planechase)
1=blank
2=+2 armageddon counters on target armageddon spell
3=remove target armageddon spell from the game
4=-2 armagedon counter on target armageddon spell
5=blank
6=blank
each roll cost 1 more to roll, just like planeschase
the first one is free.
its a fun format you can customize the deck to how you want. and also if you have phrexian rebirth who ever turn it is is who gets the creature or when ever it says target. plus i run some of the join forces cards
Emperor confuses me so much. I tried to read all the rules, and was dumbfounded. The idea of adding Planeschase and edh to that is mentally insane. You have fun organizing the insanity.
its actually quite simple you just have to play a couple of times but edh is insane
I've played Emperor EDH before. That was enjoyable, considering my whole team were using tri-colour decks and our Emperor was the meanest person; {R}{W}{U} spell slinger. It was a thing of beauty.
i have always done standard emporer and i found out that the guards can either run super fast aggro or really strong controll and the emporer runs tokens
I mean its really about how fast each player is, if everyone is tuned in and not distracted, multiplayer goes fast, when people search their library or infinite combo games stop their pace
Planechase is totally awesome commander/emperor, you just can't have someone who doesn't know the deck/or rules to commander playing
i have this kid in my magic club that i have known for a while and he started commander a year ago and hes been trying to build a 5 color and i keep telling him that 5 color is to expensive for him but he wont listen i he gets like 10 in allouance every other week but that goes to other school items. what would be a deck that i can show him that will pull away from the 5 color. something cheap and quick to build

I have 3 5 colors commanders, not sure about Atog Atog so I broke him down
