Title: Blood Scrivener
Post by: DylanW18 on January 21, 2014, 09:05:43 AM
{Blood Scrivener}

Is this playable in standard in some BUG control deck to make up for the loss of {Sphinx's Revelation}? Or is {Pain Seer} better even if {Springleaf Drum} is not played?

Scriv requires you have no hand to do anything. When does control ever want to have no hand?

Ooh! Maybe the deck could also make use of the graveyard as a resource too

If you go grixis colors and modern, you also have access to mana ramp and {snap caster Mage} as well as the weirdo that gives unearth to creatures. Just fill up your graveyard while attritioning your opponents resources and then KABLOOY!
