Title: More sundial
Post by: TJKoer on March 25, 2012, 01:06:28 AM
If I play {act of treason} or {act of aggression} to steal my opponents creature can I use {sundial of the infinite} to not give his creature back to him?

The reminder text on sundial says ""until end of turn" effects end. So, no. Give'em back.

But jester, isint it on the stack still and is not activated until the end if the turn. When you activate Sundial you exile everything on the stack. Also what about doing it with {Slave of Bolas} because that says at the beginning of your next end step?

I belive BJ is correct, however, SOB would work, it refers to "end step"

U keeps it forevers!! Because the "next end step" only happens once

Interesting, the sob card says end of turn, yet the oracle text says next end step.

The trick is in the wording. {Act of Treason} creates a time limited effect. Other similar effects {Slave of Bolas} have delayed one-time triggers. These are the ones that work with the Sundial. You want things that say "At the begging of the next end step..." not "until the end of the turn".

Comparison this to a card like {Ball Lightning}. It creates a trigger at the end of the turn. The only problem is, it's not a one-time trigger, it triggers every "beginning of the end of turn step". Wordy, I know.
