Title: Xenagos
Post by: Noblellama on January 15, 2014, 08:52:31 PM
So he ascended to god hood so he can double 1 creature's power 1 time per turn?

No mana ramp?
No more satyrs?
No creature dropping awesomeness?

Sad

I think he is probably the best of the gods so far. I might actually run him in a Naya auras deck. Drop {Hero of Iroas}, slam down enchantments ({Madcap Skills}, {ALPHA AUTHORITY}, {Unflinching Courage}, {Ethereal Armor}...) pump it with Xenagos to swing for a ridiculous amount. Add a {Boros Charm}, just because I am heartless :P

I think the overall utility of his planeswalker form is higher though.

Relative to the other gods yeah he's solid looking.

Oh so... If his planeswalker and god forms are different permanent types, does the legendary rule still apply?

I remember someone asking a similar thing to Nicol Bolas with his two different cards but I don't remember the answer

Sad

he doubles a creatures power once per turn, not once total, and he grants haste. dropping polukranos and swinging for 10 seems pretty good.

I'll test him... but I have to build a R/G deck first. I think he'll be some fun.

I just want to see someone ultimate Xenagos (Planeswalker) into Xenagos (God).

"Muahaha, fools! With my ultimate power, I summon...myself! ...wait, I'm already here. I guess that didn't really take very much power to accomplish... Dammit... You're still scared, though, right? ...please? Sigh... I'm just gonna...be an enchantment over here for a while..."

Or even funnier... {Garruk, Caller of Beasts} summoning GOd Xenagos while Walker Xenagos is on the field... Multiple personalities much??
