So, my karma's been dying lately. I don't really care about that, I care because it makes me feel unwelcome.
I get that I should have a karma drip like this, I'm in a trial and sketchy at best. I'm not upset that the karma's dropped. But some of my posts are for ridiculous things! I got a - on a joke I made in MAY just a page back in my history! I don't get why! Why neg me on a post that doesn't really deserve a neg instead of a post that does? That's all I want to know. Explain that and I'll be happy. Once I get one and read it, id like a mod to delete this.

Mlerner, I know you're young and perhaps have messed up trades (just as I've messed up trades, like with Respawned) but you have to follow through and re compensate if you don't want to feel unwelcome
Because finding a post that warrants negative karma takes time (or maybe it doesn't in your case?). Either way, if the karma drop is warranted, there is NO reason to make threads like this.

If you are going to complain about karma (which is very much known as an irrelevant number) then just pm a mod about it. Posting a thread where you complain does not fix anything. Try to do the following.
1. fix your trading situation
2. Be yourself
I personally think this Karma system is a joke. They said it's supposed to better the experience on iMTG and make people feel welcome.
I've seen numerous threads like this, and I've seen trolls who cause lots of karma dips. So can anyone explain to me what the actual benefit of the karma system would be? Because all I've seen is that it causes unnessisary drama and an all around BAD experience. Which is the opposite of its original purpose.
Am I wrong in thinking this? Honestly just curious.
No Taysby I'm not angry. I'm never angry online, because I can control my temper here because I can calm myself before hand before posting. Luckily I could post right away here because I wasn't angry in the first place. I gave my two simple steps, and that's all I will say, because that's all that is needed.

From my perspective it is merely a number that shows that people either like what you post or how you conduct yourself here on the app.

Personally if a person has a problem with something said I feel they should logically talk about it and get resolution...
People will always act this way though. There will always be those people who will cause drama because they think Karma is a huge deal. So why cause more problems? Just to satisfy the three people who actually think Karma helps create a positive environment? I don't think it's worth it.
At least the karma system reflects real-life. If somebody has a problem with you in real life, rest assured you will hear it from them early and often. On the other hand, well-wishers and the like usually don't continue to dwell on a past occurrence.
It's just a number and I'm pretty sure everyone goes through the confusion of random neg karma at one point in their iMTG lives, I know I was once at around -3 and was afraid to post for fear of the neg karma trolls.
If one or two people don't like what you have to say, take it with a grain of salt, don't change how you compose yourself to simply raise your karma.
Also, threads like these and the ones begging for karma really annoy me, neg incoming.

I think spamming (posting random jokes after every post)and necroing threads may have hurt your karma.
So what's this, mlerner? You can go post on threads that have been dead for months or even years, but if someone negs a post you made months ago it's to be questioned? You're the king of reading through old posts, how can you justify questioning someone else for doing so?
